most Nagas leave their parents relatively young, many start leaving around the age when Lucio first is taken in by McCree and Hanzo, he’s dependent on them even though he’s trying to learn, he stays with them for years. But, even not-so-little Lucio must find his home alone too, (after his dads make sure he finds a suitable cave and check in on him regularly) he’s excited to try making it on his own, but McCree takes it the hardest. Crying loudly, sobbing against Hanzo when Lucio leaves the cave

watch Lúcio’s new cave be like… right next door but McCree is still crying like a baby

Rein’s thrilled that there’s a new young kid for him to dote on, even better that he’s Hanzo and McCree’s! (visiting excuses galore) h’s heartbroken when Hanzo tells him how they came to have tiny Lucio, which ends up with the poor boy getting even more hugs, (Rein’s arm is at thick as Lucio’s torso easily) but Lucio has another member to his new snake family, and while Hanzo and McCree are always teaching him important life things Rein just takes him to goof off and play (he brings many snacks)

what a good grandpa

Lucio doesn’t believe the adult nagas at first, they’ve been nice to him, but they can’t be right. his family wants him! they’ll come back…or he just needs to find his way home. Hanzo and McCree don’t push the matter, leaving Lucio to think about it, the gears visibly moving in his head before he starts to accept it. why else would they leave him all alone? he bursts into tears, hugging as much of McCree as he can and burying his face against his stomach sobbing while McCree pets his head

Rein slithers up to visit Hanzo and McCree again, but Lucio notices him first and just freezes, that Naga’s even bigger than his dads, both of them together! (he has met a few meaner nagas before, all of which were chased by his dads)and he’s still such a tiny little Naga, but soon in a flurry of welcome backs once his dads see the new naga, tiny Lucio is completely lifted off the ground, tip of his tail and all in a careful-not-to-kill-him but still way-too-tight hug and he’s even more confused

This is the kind of hardtbeat content I adore

when it starts to get colder McCree and Hanzo notice how Lucio shivers while trying to press himself further against their outter coil of tails (they aren’t as bothered by the cold as him, being wild as he’s used to lamps) so they coil up together, which they usually only do in the spring or freezing temps, and carefully move the tiny naga to be at the center/on top of their tails.

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Big scaley cuddle ball I love it

ok but that ‘maybe Hanzo can help him get home’ a few asks ago breaks my heart? tiny Lucio thinks there must be a mistake, they wouldn’t leave him. he had a nice family who loved him. the big adult Nagas will know what to do, they can take him to his warm bed and safe home with his humans so he isn’t alone in the dark and cold scary forest. think of them having to break it to him, tiny little Lucio would cry so hard

why must you do this to my baby boy
