but then he sees Lucio shaking from the cold and sighs, he’ll regret leaving him as much as he’s sure he will for taking him. he nudges the side of Lucio’s small tail with the end of his bow. Lucio wakes up with a jolt, looking around and yelping when he sees the huge Naga above him “H-hello?” he shaking from fear and sounds so small and like he’s about to cry.

Hanzo knows this is a bad choice, but rolls his eyes and starts slithering towards his cave “Come on kid.” Lucio quickly follows him, sure he’s a stranger, but he’s someone! the only person he’s seen since being abandoned, but it’s hard to keep up with the huge snake. maybe he’ll help Lucio get home? Hanzo takes him to his cave, where McCree is a lazy ass sunning himself right outside, not even fully awake when Hanzo takes the berries he’s eating from his hands and gives them to little Lucio

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Surprise McCree,I brought us a new child

think of Hanzo out hunting one day and see’s the brightest damn tail he’s seen in his life tucked against a tree trunk, out in the open for any predator. he see’s Lucio still asleep and definitely uncomfortable, malnourished from not having eaten anything since he was left. Hanzo has known everything in these woods, he knows Lucio had to have been a pet, nothing around here has that bright a pattern. he’s dead where he lays unless he wakes the kid up, he should leave the kid. less trouble

; 0;

hanzo no plz you’ll be a good daddy

BACK TO THE ORIGINAL (I’ve gone way off track) Lucio darts off into the brush, heart pounding as soon as you’ve looked away, maybe he can escape or get to Hanzo? he peaks back when he doesn’t think he was followed, it takes him a lot of courage to look back at the fire from the brush but you’re just sitting there looking a little sad? he thought you’d be chasing him by now. he shouldn’t stay though, and flees. he can’t stop wondering why you didn’t hurt him though

you keep returning to hike on the same trail, hoping to some day see that Naga again and apologize, he seemed so frightened you feel horrible. Lucio always watches when you’re back, sneaking glances from hidden places like Hanzo taught him. maybe you aren’t evil? you havent hurt anything else around. he’s shaking like a leaf when he lets himself be visible, you perk up and say hello, he panics and leaves,

it takes a long time but slowly starts to befriend you, it’s nice talking to someone else! he’s only had Hanzo and McCree to talk to since he was left in the woods, he did meet a pretty centaur named Mercy once, she was nice but doesn’t stick around. he’s scared of that naga Moira though, she hissed at him when he was little and McCree and Hanzo both chased her away, making sure he stayed with them for days after the encounter.

Lucio’s so happy he made a friend too! now he’s right next to you once you’re in the woods for the day, chatting the entire time and showing you his favorite places and sunning rocks, he tells Hanzo and McCree all about his new friend too, and they’re worried. he’s still so innocent and naïve, what do you want with their boy? a hunter trying to trick him?

I love how this is going

Hanzo’s been trying to teach Lucio the basics of using a bow (he had to find Genji’s tiny trainer one he had tucked away for Lucio to even be able to tug the string) but he’s trying! Lucio tries his best to do what Hanzo and McCree tell him to, he doesn’t understand any of it but he’s a good boy and they’re nice to him. Hanzo thinks he’s doing ok so tries to get him to fire at a squirrel for the first time “YOU WANT ME TO WHAT?” Lucio panics, slithers to hide behind McCree who’s cackling

Hanzo rolls his eyes, picks up Lucio’s small bow and goes off to get dinner by himself. McCree slaps Lucio’s back, he means it all good naturedly but he’s so strong it kind of hurts the small boy “Kid, you’ve gotta learn to hunt or you’ll be livin’ off berries like a bird” Lucio looks even smaller somehow now that all his tiny confidence is gone again “But I don’t want to hurt anything..” he mumbles looking at the ground. McCree sighs, this poor kid has hard times ahead if he survives.

Ah, sweet baby…. That’s what happens when you’re raised domestic

Hanzo and McCree, huge, feared by all other naga’s in the forest, gay dads of this puny kid and apparently are a bickering old married couple because they can’t just LEAVE HIM? but both are terrible parents, Hanzo makes every story horrifying, Lucio gets nightmares, and McCree is a dirty mouthed idiot, he confuses Lucio who is too innocent and Hanzo smacks him, forget angst, this is now a gay snake family comedy.

but then reader discovers Lúcio and shows him kindness and offers to take him home and Hanzo and McCree are lowkey crying like don’t take our baby.

poor baby Lucio (he was probably like 12/14 when he was left) would be so scared? he’s all alone? he hardly ever went outside before and his owners were in the suburbs? and why is it so dark and cold? he misses his bed under the nice heat lamp. spends nights curling up as tight as he can, still so cold and crying until he falls asleep.

once Hanzo/McCree take him in he spends every night in their cave tucked as tight as he can against him once he thinks they’re asleep. they find it weird, only hatchlings ever do that, but he’s so small and terrified neither have the heart to push him away. even when he wraps his arms around whatever coil he can reach in his sleep, trying to get any comfort.

no seriously this dynamic is pulling at my motherly instincts I love this so much
